Ardross Cottage is a beautiful, peaceful B&B with a lot of atmosphere and a lovely view of Loch Ard. My friend and I stayed here in mid-May, sharing a lovely 2-twin bed room with a view of the loch. The room and the cottage were charming, very clean, and comfy — and the garden areas are lovely. The proprietor, John MacGregor, is an excellent host: kind, attentive, a great conversationalist who also knows when to allow his guests space. He’s very knowledgeable about both local attractions to recommend, and the rich clan and Jacobite history of the area (he’s a direct descendant of a first cousin of the legendary Rob Roy MacGregor!). To top it off, John is an incredible chef — be sure to reserve at least one dinner from him during your stay; you will not regret it! John truly embodies the traditional Celtic virtue of hospitality. I would stay at Ardross again in a heartbeat — very highly recommended! Alia from Kenmore, WA, US
