The Trossachs National Park boasts an area of 720 square miles (1865 square kilometers) which includes approximately 22 lochs, 50 rivers, 21 Munro's and 20 Corbett's.
"Ben" or "Beinn" - The Scottish Gaelic word for mountain/peak
"Loch" = The Scottish Gaelic word for lake.
"Corbett" = Named after John Rooke Corbett (27 September 1876 – 13 August 1949), a member of the Scottish Mountaineering Club who was the first person to climb all the peaks ranging from 2500 - 3000ft (762m - 914m )
"Munro" = Named after Sir Hugh Thomas Munro, 4th Baronet (16 October 1856 – 19 March 1919), A British Mountaineer who was the first person to climb all the peaks above 3000ft (914m)
"Glen" = A Scottish Gaelic word meaning a long, narrow, and deep valley set between hills or mountains.
