The Garden -- what next?
Those of you who have visited will have seen that the cottage has been renovated and extended and this took nearly 10 years. For the past 3 years I have also been developing the garden. Now the house is just about complete the time will be spent fully on the garden. This page is going to show progress to each of the major jobs in the garden.
The Front Wall - September 2025
The front wall was never great but after drainage was dug and the soil put onto of the wall it never recovered. So I have found a Welsh plum slate that I think will look nice and the local man with a great reputation for walling has started. My contract with him was to do the work as long as the stone was at hand. Last week three heroines of mine kindly trundled all 8 tons of the stone from the roadside to be 'at hand'... while I was making rooms for guests (flicking a duster); So a thousand thank yous to Jane, Kate and Chelsey
